Building in Web3 Made Easy with Tencent Cloud and MultiversX

Tencent Cloud has launched a blockchain infrastructure solution for MultiversX to tackle the primary challenge faced by developers transitioning to Web3. This adds to the ongoing efforts of the two technology companies to accelerate the development of blockchain-powered gaming, which includes a startup grants program and support for ecosystem hackathons.

Specifically designed for Web3 builders who want to get started and scale quickly, the newly released 1-click node hosting service by Tencent Cloud acts as a shortcut to market and utility. New developers joining Web3 and building on MultiversX can now begin creating applications without starting from scratch or needing to learn all the ins and outs of the underlying infrastructure technology.

Tencent Cloud’s solution minimizes the hassle of deploying and managing MultiversX blockchain infrastructure nodes. An initial setup process that typically took hours or even more of research and first-hand practice has been simplified into a straightforward and developer-friendly workflow.

With the varied needs of Web3 applications in mind, the service offers several configurations for specific on-chain use cases:

These nodes run software similar to that of validators, but do not participate in the consensus process. They complete user requests like sending transactions to the network or displaying data such as wallet token balances - essential for virtually every decentralized application.

“Tencent Cloud’s node-as-a-service solution complements an already superior developer experience. More performant and safer applications can be built on MultiversX using familiar programming languages, now even without the need to self-deploy and maintain dedicated infrastructure thanks to our close ecosystem partner.” said Lucian Mincu, MultiversX Foundation CIO

Tencent Cloud’s extended involvement in the MultiversX ecosystem comes at a time the blockchain network experiences sustained growth, having days with +100K DAU and being one of the top non-EVM chains in terms of TVL.

Back in October 2023, the cloud arm of the social and gaming giant, ventured as a main partner at the xDay Hackathon, one of the biggest of the year in Europe. With more than 1,000 developers attracted, and 150 blockchain products presented, Tencent Cloud has offered $120,000 USD in grants to the Gaming track winners, and contributed to the total prize pool of over $1M USD.

Ecosystem startups and projects building on MultiversX can accelerate their development and growth with the help of Tencent Cloud. Applications for grants, funding of up to $100,000 USD, preferential services prices, and important networking opportunities, can be submitted at the following portal.
