A New Dawn Rises

A New Dawn Rises. The Battle of Nodes Begins.

150,000+ lines of code. 10,000+ engineering hours. 20 months of development.

Supernova is ready for battle testing.

On March 11, the Battle of Nodes begins: a multi-track competition designed to stress test the MultiversX network under real conditions. Validators, bug hunters, and guild teams will compete in parallel across the network over approximately two weeks. Over $150,000 in total prizes across the competition, including $100,000 in EGLD, with additional rewards from partners including Tencent Cloud, CertiK, and our ecosystem partners.

Build Wars kicked things off in December. Builders shipped DeFi protocols, games, and infrastructure tools. $60,000+ in prizes were awarded across three tracks and a special AI prize.

Now, the network itself is preparing for battle.

Three New Tracks, $70,000 in Prizes

Battle of Nodes runs three competition tracks simultaneously. Each one targets a different layer of the network. Compete in one or compete in all of them.

Security Track: $50,000 Prize Pool

Supernova has been built, tested, and audited internally. Now we're inviting the wider community to try to break it.

Surface vulnerabilities. Detect edge cases. Probe consensus logic, execution layers, and economic assumptions. If something can fail under pressure, this is the time and place to find it. This track rewards participants who surface real bugs and real risks in the protocol.

Validator Track: $10,000 Prize Pool

A series of structured challenges built to test real operational skill. Node operators will work through validator setup, staking, recovery procedures, and performance under sustained load. Each challenge is measurable and verifiable, tracked via a public leaderboard.

This goes well beyond uptime. Operators will be scored on how well they perform when the network is under stress and the clock is running.

Guild Wars: $10,000 Prize Pool

The team competition layer. Small guilds of up to five members take on time-boxed challenges that combine capacity, capability, and a content and social scoring component. Strategy and coordination matter as much as speed.

Guild Wars challenges will be revealed during the competition. Come with a plan, but be ready to adapt.

The Rollout

The Validator and Security tracks open on March 11. Once network stability is confirmed, Guild Wars follows a few days later. From that point, all three tracks run in parallel.

Behind the competition, a group of infrastructure providers is already at work building the platform and backend that makes Battle of Nodes possible. They're competing too, with a $20,000 prize pool for the teams powering the environment.

Leaderboards update throughout the competition. New participants can jump in at any time during the competition.

A Public Battle

Most networks stress test behind closed doors. Controlled environments, internal teams, predictable loads.

That's useful, but it's not enough for the most advanced blockchain architecture built to handle usage at internet-scale.

Real pressure comes from real participants making real decisions under competition conditions. Validators optimizing under load. Teams racing to maximize throughput. Participants actively looking for ways to break things. That combination produces the kind of stress that no internal test can replicate.

Get In

Battle of Nodes begins March 11. Whether you run nodes, hunt for exploits, or want to rally a guild, there is a track for you.

Prepare your infrastructure. Assemble your team.

Compete in an epic battle.
